Welcome to my blog

I hope you enjoy reading my posts, and please leave me a comment. I always enjoy reading them, and will try to visit you in return.

For security reasons for me and for you, I would appreciate it if you would leave your name on your comments.

You are welcome to copy any of my designs, as long as you do not take credit for them yourself. I am very happy for you to sell them. If I have used anyone else's design, I always try to give credit where it is due. If I have missed anything, please let me know and I will put things right.

This is intended to be mainly about my crafting stories, as a personal record of what I do. However, I interpret crafting quite widely, not just paper crafting but other things too. I have a butterfly mind and like to change from one thing to another depending on what I feel like on a given day - knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, cards, baking and several others, including my favourite right now, parchment, both traditional skills and Groovi, very relaxing and calming to do.

I have decided to put some structure into my blog so that each day will have something of a theme.
Monday- for Mindfulness; Tuesday - Tidy Up Day; Wednesday - What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday; Thursday - Technique and Tips; Friday - Finish Off Day; Saturday - Start Something New; Sunday - Anything Goes
These themes are not hard and fast and will be changed if I feel the need.

Friday Smiles

This is not a crafty thing nor a family thing, but a video that someone else sent me the link to.  I actually watched it in the middle of the night and nearly fell out of bed laughing at it.

It is the one who put the cot side back up that really brought tears of laughter.  I defy you not to giggle at least at this video.

If you want to see some other smiley things, just slip over to Annie's blog at A Stitch In Time, where she shares, sometimes with a joke added in too for good measure.

Oh Maggie, I just about spat coffee over the laptop screen here - so, so funny!! Love the one where the side was carefully popped back up again. TFS! :))

This still cracks me up! Yup, I plan to go to the WOYWW crop - and am looking forward to meeting up as well as finding more out about the Gelli plate. Our playmate Sam will be there too and I think she's gonna have a first play with her new Gelli plate this weekend so you might have two of us to contend with :)

Hi Maggie,

Very cute video! I liked the one where the baby got out and then went over to help the other escape!

Hugs,

How amazingly enterprising those babes are. A friend's little lad used to head dive out of the cot and even did it over the gate down the stairs. Luckily he didn't hurt himself but they were so shocked when he appeared downstairs.
Thanks for your comment Maggie. Lovely to hear from you.
Let me know if you managed to get a Derwent pencil box as I bought a spare one at the museum and will willingly send it to you if you would like me to. They were only £3 each, such a bargain and so well finished. Even has a magnet to stop the slide lid moving.
