Welcome to my blog

I hope you enjoy reading my posts, and please leave me a comment. I always enjoy reading them, and will try to visit you in return.

You are welcome to copy any of my designs, as long as you do not take credit for them yourself. I am very happy for you to sell them. If I have used anyone else's design, I always try to give credit where it is due. If I have missed anything, please let me know and I will put things right.

This is intended to be mainly about my crafting stories, as a personal record of what I do. However, I interpret crafting quite widely, not just paper crafting but other things too. I have a butterfly mind and like to change from one thing to another depending on what I feel like on a given day - knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, cards, baking and several others.

WOYWW - 175

Still reasonably tidy for the second week in a row.  I have been very strict with myself and tidied up after every session or when each piece of work is finished.  I am sorry that there is not a lot I can show you this week on my desk.  That is because I am working on my contribution to the Craft A Scene Design Team for this month, and they must remain hidden until they go up on the website later this month.  I was very proud to be accepted onto the DT and I just hope that my offerings will be good enough to give others ideas on what they can do with what they have.

My desk is set ready to get busy tomorrow, hopefully, on my second project, so the brayer is out and the Splodge mat.  The papers are a mixture of masks and photos that I am turning into line art to use as digi stamps.  They are my own photos so there is no problem with copyright as that all belongs to me anyway.

This week has been a time for losing things and finding them.  There was something I had lost last week, but I cannot remember what that was.  Anyway, I found it.  Then I moved my Melt Dust and the papers to go with them from the sensibly labelled drawer to what I foolishly thought was a better place.  You've guessed it - I lost them all.  Then I needed my posh tracing paper to do the line art from the photos.  Could I find it - nah!  However, hunting for that, I found the Melt Dust stuff and more I had forgotten all about.  I also found my A4 plastic sleeves, and my cello bags.

Then I needed to move my shrink plastic, and there was the tracing paper.  Result!  The only problem now is has anyone seen my mini labels, the ones I picked up and moved yesterday?

Do share tales of what you have lost and found recently.  Those of us who get together with Julia at What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday would love to hear your stories.  See you over there.  Do join us.

OMG! Maggie you sound like me. My DH says my room is a disaster but when I clean it up it turns in to a hunt and seek for a week project. Hope you find your labels. Vickie #41

OMGoodness I do know that feeling of moving something to the new place and then never finding it again. I do hope all turns up. Enjoy your week.

Hope you find everything you've lost - and don't lose anything more!! I do that kind of thing all the time! Nice tidy desk anyway.

Maybe my desk will be tidy one day ...and I manage to keep it so.
I am terrible for loosing things ...especially if I think I will put an item safely away ...out of sight out of mind is my problem....but I also seem to make things invisible ...to my eyes ant way.I can curse that i had 'what ever' a moment ago and its now gone...I can look and look ...eventually DD takes pity and comes to my help ...Is this it??? and its right there in plain sight ....Grrrr I hate getting old. xx#70

Afternoon Maggie, I know just what you mean about putting things away and then not finding them I do exactly the same. I hope you find your labels.

Oh I know the feeling - it's hopeless if I have a big tidy up - I can never remember where I "hide" everything! x Jo

Oh! A familiar tale! Having just moved and bought new storage boxes I am now trying to label everything-only thing is forgot to do it as I filled them! Chris#111

Oh I so hate that... when you had a thing just a moment ago, and you reach out your hand for it, and then it's no longer there! Bah - I blame the house-elves... Happy WOYWW!

I have the same problem with losing things and then when I look for them I find things I haven't seen for ages. It's a clever way to do things if you think about it :)
Hope you find the labels, look for something else and they will probably turn up.
Have a great week.

Even when something is really important and you think it needs an extra safe place, I still manage to forget where I've put it later on! In the end, I made a box for Very Important Stuff and put it all in there! It's still a complete tip inside but at least all the stuff is in one place, lol!!!

I have to have a place for everything and I do my best to put things back in their place cos if I move them I don't have the time to look for them!

I'm always losing things but read something recently that if you have a better chance of finding what you are looking for if you say it's 'name' out loud. Tried it and it works for me.
As for pets and knitting, no cats in our house but my dog jumps up on my knee all the time and is put out if I am knitting as she can't fit on.

I lost my mind recently, but I seem to do that every other day. So far it keeps coming back, but I worry that one day it will be gone for ever!

I would like to suggest that messiness will let you find things more easily. I don't know why, but I can never find things when I've been tidy!

Thanks for stopping by and here's to a great weekend.

cheers, rachel
