Welcome to my blog

I hope you enjoy reading my posts, and please leave me a comment. I always enjoy reading them, and will try to visit you in return.

For security reasons for me and for you, I would appreciate it if you would leave your name on your comments.

You are welcome to copy any of my designs, as long as you do not take credit for them yourself. I am very happy for you to sell them. If I have used anyone else's design, I always try to give credit where it is due. If I have missed anything, please let me know and I will put things right.

This is intended to be mainly about my crafting stories, as a personal record of what I do. However, I interpret crafting quite widely, not just paper crafting but other things too. I have a butterfly mind and like to change from one thing to another depending on what I feel like on a given day - knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, cards, baking and several others, including my favourite right now, parchment, both traditional skills and Groovi, very relaxing and calming to do.

I have decided to put some structure into my blog so that each day will have something of a theme.
Monday- for Mindfulness; Tuesday - Tidy Up Day; Wednesday - What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday; Thursday - Technique and Tips; Friday - Finish Off Day; Saturday - Start Something New; Sunday - Anything Goes
These themes are not hard and fast and will be changed if I feel the need.

WOYWW - 146

Not so much a view of my desk this week, rather what is on  my desk.  I have been playing with my brand new Clarity stamp. If you want to know more, I wrote about it in my previous post at the weekend.

For those of you who don't have time to go back to that, I will just tell you that Clarity stamps agreed to make my favourite rose bud painting, created by my daughter, into a proper Clarity stamp, with all the quality we expect from that company.  They really did the artwork justice, and kept all the detail.

It is a joy to use, so light and easy to position, and I am having a wonderful time playing around with it, putting into practice all the ideas that I have had for it.  You may see the image coming up on Shaz Silverwolf's  blog at some time, as well as here.  We had three copies of the stamp cut, one for me, one for daughter and one for Shaz, who is her mother-in-law.

I have managed to finish all the cards for this month that I need, so I now have to have a look at April.  there are one or two there right at the start of the month, right where they catch me out and panic sets in.  One of my resolutions this year is to look ahead and try to avoid the panics.  How long will this last, I wonder.

I will leave you now to go on round the other blogs on show over at Julia Mansion.  I just hope that Mr Blogger and Mr Linky decide to play properly for her this week.  have a good week, all of you, and enjoy the signs of Spring all around us.

Hi Maggie,

You must be very proud of your daughter! To have a piece of her work made into a stamp -- that's wonderful. It looks lovely.

I'm impressed that you are ahead in your card making. I need to make a 50th birthday card for a friend (male). I'm not so good at male cards. Wish me luck!

Hugs,
Kay

How amazing that they made that beautiful image in to a stamp for you, your daughter should definitely license it to them for mass production and then work on doing more, she obviously inherited your talent.

I did read the story about your Rosie stamp and what a wonderful thing to do ... I bet you are just over-the-moon with it and what a super thing to do! What a pity it is not on sale though because I am sure it would sell lots!
I am often caught out by early-in-the-month birthdays and even when I think ahead I then forget to post them in time ... am always SO cross with myself! Must develop a new system me thinks. Happy WOYWWing! Love Debbie #86 xXx

What a beautiful stamp, and how lovely that it was designed by your daughter!! That's a real thrill.

Thanks for your comment on my blog. We've got loads of boxes that various pieces of equipment came in, and we're keeping those for when we eventually have to move. With their polystyrene blocks inside they do protect things better. It's all the other boxes that I've kept in case they came in useful that I've decided to get rid of!! Still loads of sorting to do, but no more energy at the moment.

Happy belated WOYWW,
