Welcome to my blog
I hope you enjoy reading my posts, and please leave me a comment. I always enjoy reading them, and will try to visit you in return.
For security reasons for me and for you, I would appreciate it if you would leave your name on your comments.
You are welcome to copy any of my designs, as long as you do not take credit for them yourself. I am very happy for you to sell them. If I have used anyone else's design, I always try to give credit where it is due. If I have missed anything, please let me know and I will put things right.
This is intended to be mainly about my crafting stories, as a personal record of what I do. However, I interpret crafting quite widely, not just paper crafting but other things too. I have a butterfly mind and like to change from one thing to another depending on what I feel like on a given day - knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, cards, baking and several others, including my favourite right now, parchment, both traditional skills and Groovi, very relaxing and calming to do.

I have decided to put some structure into my blog so that each day will have something of a theme.
Monday- for Mindfulness; Tuesday - Tidy Up Day; Wednesday - What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday; Thursday - Technique and Tips; Friday - Finish Off Day; Saturday - Start Something New; Sunday - Anything Goes
These themes are not hard and fast and will be changed if I feel the need.

WOYWW 144 - Update
You may have read my bit about trying to emulate Barbara Gray's demo on the black clarity card. After that, I went onto her Facebook site and asked the question after my second attempt had failed. Within half an hour, i had the answer from Barbara, saying that she was actually using Perfect Pearls, which have a binding agent in. So I am off now to look at all the other various powders I have to see if I have anything similar to try again. Otherwise I may have to invest in some Perfect Pearls to succeed. I will let you know what happens along those lines. Thank you Barbara for taking time out of your busy life to answer my query.

Saw you pop-up on Facebook and saw your message/query had been answered! Do hope you find some Perfect Pearls ... great excuse for a shopping trip if you don't have any! Can't wait to see the results ... all sounds fascinating. Good luck experimenting! D x
Hi Maggie...thank you for your lovely comment on my Clarity shares ~ as always, it's lovely to hear what you think about them!!
I've had internet issues all day, so I've only just managed to get on and be able to answer your question but I see that Barbara has already answered it. :)
Like Barbara, I also use Perfect Pearls because in my opinion, it is the very best mica powder on the market and there is so much you can do with it. My only other suggestions to help you with the problem would be to dust your black gloss card with an anti static powder, (or talc) before you stamp with the Versamark ink. I must admit, I never blot before I plot because I think it needs the "full tackiness" of the ink for the mica to adhere. When you apply the mica, apply it gently and almost tap it into the ink of your image. Once you've got a good covering...then, brush off the excess!! I hope that helps and if you're still having problems, let me know! :)
Hope you are well...and thanks for sharing your desk with us.
Love Emma xx
