Welcome to my blog

I hope you enjoy reading my posts, and please leave me a comment. I always enjoy reading them, and will try to visit you in return.

You are welcome to copy any of my designs, as long as you do not take credit for them yourself. I am very happy for you to sell them. If I have used anyone else's design, I always try to give credit where it is due. If I have missed anything, please let me know and I will put things right.

This is intended to be mainly about my crafting stories, as a personal record of what I do. However, I interpret crafting quite widely, not just paper crafting but other things too. I have a butterfly mind and like to change from one thing to another depending on what I feel like on a given day - knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, cards, baking and several others.

WOYWW - 184

As you can see, my desk is a total wreck at the moment, due to trying to write Christmas cards and do the inserts at the same time, and a few other jobs too.  I won't list all that is there and just let you wander and wonder.

I am sure most of you have finished all your preparation by now and can sit back and pity me..........  did I hear hysterical laughter there?  Oh well, I was hoping that others might have been better off than me.  Anyone got any ideas on how to wrap a huge ride on tractor and trailer for our littlest granddaughter - that could be fun.

If you want to see loads of other desks, some in the same state as mine, some much tidier and interesting, just follow the link  and call in on Julia, our esteemed leader.  She will be delighted to see you.

To anyone I don't contact before the great day, have a wonderful Christmas and see you in the New Year with lots of resolutions (to write the wretched cards in March in 2013, for one).  I hope to get round as many of you as possible this week, panic permitting.  Have a great day.

Wonder why we all love making the cards but hate writing them....?! I must admit I don't make inserts for mine which helps. Love your blog banner though. Helen, 4

I think we are all in the same state of panic this week, Maggie. I am currently making and then writing the cards as I go along. I did say to a friend the other day that it might come to sending the cards out in bits and asking the recipients to put them together themselves. We thought it might start a new craze!!
Good Luck with it all.

Hi Maggie, I'm with you... not a thing done ... bare tree standing waiting, don't do cards but I'm starting to think about starting preparations for this one special day we spend 3, 4, or 5 months thinking about! It's always worth it in the end!
Hope you have a good one!

HAHAHAHAHA "I am sure most of you have finished all your preparation by now and can sit back and pity me....." Pity ME! I am SO far behind...still, it's all part of the season. I NEVER feel prepared for it, put things off, then am consumed by regret...and I never learn.

Ride on tractor? Dear me. I vote for a BIG GREEN rubbish bag and an enormous bow :)

Happy WOYWW

Hi Marg, just been pottering about for the last couple of hours, then remembered I hadn't done Mr Linky! Well, after this year, I am most definitely getting an early start next year. I say it every year, of course, but I think I have learned my lesson now.Arm is getting there, probably mainly down to Doug supervising me to make sure I keep the splint on & don't use it. Sigh. He knows me all too well,:)Will catch up soon, I hope, Love Shaz

I love your busy desk with all the cards in evidence, but in answer to your question Nope I am not finished! The cards are posted except the work ones, and presents are all bought, but I still have a house to clean and tidy (a busted washing machine doesn't help), food shopping to do and LOADS of wrapping. Thanks for sharing. Caro x #46

Panic mode has set in over here too. So much to still do, so little time! Oh heck, I promise myself I will do better next year every year, but that never seems to happen.
Happy very belated WOYWW!
