Welcome to my blog

I hope you enjoy reading my posts, and please leave me a comment. I always enjoy reading them, and will try to visit you in return.

For security reasons for me and for you, I would appreciate it if you would leave your name on your comments.

You are welcome to copy any of my designs, as long as you do not take credit for them yourself. I am very happy for you to sell them. If I have used anyone else's design, I always try to give credit where it is due. If I have missed anything, please let me know and I will put things right.

This is intended to be mainly about my crafting stories, as a personal record of what I do. However, I interpret crafting quite widely, not just paper crafting but other things too. I have a butterfly mind and like to change from one thing to another depending on what I feel like on a given day - knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, cards, baking and several others, including my favourite right now, parchment, both traditional skills and Groovi, very relaxing and calming to do.

I have decided to put some structure into my blog so that each day will have something of a theme.
Monday- for Mindfulness; Tuesday - Tidy Up Day; Wednesday - What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday; Thursday - Technique and Tips; Friday - Finish Off Day; Saturday - Start Something New; Sunday - Anything Goes
These themes are not hard and fast and will be changed if I feel the need.

WOYWW 250 - Getting ready for the NEC

Not too much to show this week, which is one reason why I am so late posting today.  I wasn't going to post at all, but now I am stuck in the area of the computer while waiting for a delivery that might come today or not?  Very annoying as the weather is right for gardening today, and is forecast to turn wet tomorrow.

I have just been putting my Clarity stencils into the made-to-measure storage folders, and then added another couple of the folders to my shopping list for the NEC this week.  My list is now complete and all I have to do is to have the strength to stick to it.  I have found two of the badges I need, just have to retrieve my WOYWW badge from Scottie dog upstairs.

I wonder how many of you I will see there.  If you see me wandering around in my buggy (mobility scooter) do stop me and say hello.  I will try not to run you over.  That reminds me - I must make sure the batteries are fully charged.

Short and sweet this week as Julia likes it.  She will be waiting for you over at her Stamping Ground to show you loads more desks.  Why don't you pay her a visit and join in with this great blog hop.

Have fun at the event, sounds like you will have some fun company! I am sitting here wishing my stencils were in some kind of order (any kind of order) after seeing yours. So many shapes and sizes that they are a bit unwieldly. Winnie#56

I love the phrase "butterfly mind". I know exactly what you are talking about. Whatever feels good this day is what I am up to.

I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun at the Hobbycraft show and find lots of sad lonely product that wants to come home with you. Good for you for tidying up first and figuring out what purchases should be made instead of going for nothing but impulse buys.

Have a great time at the show, Maggie. Afraid we won't be ones you see this time. Hubby isn't up to it this year, but maybe Mrs D and I will get down to the autumn one... hope so!! It's always fun. Just think, if we had made it, you and my hubby could have raced your scooters somewhere off stage!!!
Have a great time.

Hi Marg, enjoy the NEC. I usually do a 'shopping list', but am finding more and more I need a 'got that' list! Its irritating to come home with something and find I already have it. To that end, I installed Evernote on my tablet, so I can track what I have. Really useful little app, free too. Speak soon, Love Shaz xx

I always love good organization, but I have none of those stencils.

It turned nasty here, too. Hope you got some gardening done before heading to the show. Happy belated WOYWW from #2.
