Welcome to my blog

I hope you enjoy reading my posts, and please leave me a comment. I always enjoy reading them, and will try to visit you in return.

For security reasons for me and for you, I would appreciate it if you would leave your name on your comments.

You are welcome to copy any of my designs, as long as you do not take credit for them yourself. I am very happy for you to sell them. If I have used anyone else's design, I always try to give credit where it is due. If I have missed anything, please let me know and I will put things right.

This is intended to be mainly about my crafting stories, as a personal record of what I do. However, I interpret crafting quite widely, not just paper crafting but other things too. I have a butterfly mind and like to change from one thing to another depending on what I feel like on a given day - knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, cards, baking and several others, including my favourite right now, parchment, both traditional skills and Groovi, very relaxing and calming to do.

I have decided to put some structure into my blog so that each day will have something of a theme.
Monday- for Mindfulness; Tuesday - Tidy Up Day; Wednesday - What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday; Thursday - Technique and Tips; Friday - Finish Off Day; Saturday - Start Something New; Sunday - Anything Goes
These themes are not hard and fast and will be changed if I feel the need.

WOYWW - 85

I seem to be having a problem with the picture on my blog this week.  They are either missing, so huge they cannot be viewed or showing as a black line in the middle of the screen.  Having had a play around, I have hopes that the photos are back in the correct place.  Please let me know if there is still a problem.

For anyone who has arrived here by accident, do make an effort to go over to Julia's blog on
http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/
There you will find lots of like minded people who love crafting.

The views this week were to have been of a very messy room, hopefully only temporarily, while my very kind husband is finishing off the shelves on the other side of the room.  Even the floor is covered with stuff, and there is no chance of crafting for a couple of days.  Still a little pain now will be worth it in the long run.

Sorry I did not get round everyone this week, but I would like to say a big thank you to all those who took the trouble to visit my blog and to leave such lovely comments.  Hope to visit you all this week.

Hi there Maggie not sure if it is my computer (would not be surprised at present!!) but your picture does not show up at all..just a narrow black line, maybe that way we wont see the messy room!!

I can't actually see your photo. There is just a stripe on the screen, but new shelves will be worth the wait. What a helpful husband you do have.
Have fun

Yes, progress always involves a little inconvenience. Enjoy your shelves when they're completed! Happy WOYWW!

I like your shelves in this picture! Is your husband putting up the same shelves on the other side? I hope we get a picture next week when the new shelves are up!

Hope the craft room gets sorted soon - its a pain when you can't find what you want. Looking at the previous post about Clarity mounted stamps , I agree they are a pain. I only have one so ar and get fed up moving it from place to place cos it doesn't fit anywhere.

Hi Marg, pics look ok to me, so it must be sorted. Is that an old mug tree I see with DST rolls on it? Very clever idea! I shall be looking out for one of those. See you soon, Love Shaz

I see all your pictures just fine and you're right, a little pain now will be so worth it when your room is ready. I do have a question though... just how many rolls of dst does a girl need!!!!

How wonderful to have someone to put up shelves in your craft room! My DH leaves this area strictly alone. Thank-you for visiting me today and for the suggestions for cleaning up my Mac - much appreciated. :)

Great pictures and they are showing me Useful boxes, I think I'm becoming addicted to them ...as I've just bought some tiny ones from HobbyCraft...sure they were priced up wrong as they had them hidden in a corner , while on the shelf, they were twice the price but advertised as half price!! So! Good deal!
Happy WOYWW!

Fabulous storage and I love how you store your tapes - so clever! Blogger has been doing the same to my photos from time to time, no idea why or what to do about it other than repost. Such a pain!
Love your work space.

Those look like fab storage racks your hubby is constructing for you. Lucky you.
The playing Cards are for a flickr group where we have been challenged to make a 52 pack of playing cards one a week for the whole yr. You can choose your own colours and themes. Many thanks for asking.

Like the shelves you have already, so it will be brilliant when you have more.

It looks as if you are very organised,

Somehow I really love to see messy places - probably because it makes me feel better about my own messyness. Thanks for sharing.

I was sure I had already visited you Maggie but guess not.
How wonderful of your DH to put up all those shelves for you - I wouldn't mind the/any inconvenience if I ended up with a room like you are obviously going to have.
Green with envy I am now running and hiding.

I love the "coffee mug holder" - what a good idea! You have a super craft room, and I see that like me, you use the really useful boxes to store stuff. Thanks for your comment on my desk - it's certainly true about attacting more paper - you should see my office desk - then again maybe not :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog. The white 'tree' on my desk is supposed to be for hanging jewellery, but I'm going to change into something else. Got some great stuff on your desk..... Hugs xxx

Hi Maggie, no problem with your photographs - showing up just fine on my pc. Left a fairly lengthy comment on your previous post so will keep this brief. The mug holder for tape is a great idea :) Regards, Elizabeth #78

I agree with Elizabeth about that mug holder - that's really useful. Hope you will soon be carefully filling those new shelves.

Your photo's look just fine. I love your shelves, they are brill.

In answer to your question on my blog; the little jars are glass ones from Ikea and just £2 for 4. I have quite a few already and use them for brads, paper flowers, other little embelishments. Very handy they are!

Thanks for the info I am going to give it a try. Love all your storage boxes and I need more shelves too!

Maggie, love those shelves in the background and your inventive tape storage!

Oh Maggie, I had to chuckle when you said that a lot of your stuff is on the floor while your other half is putting up some shelves for you.
I have no one putting up shelves and my crafting paraphernalia is on the floor the majority of the time Lol!

Hope you get your room sorted out soon and I look forward to seeing the finished results. There’ll be no excuse for a mess after that!

So far so good - patience and acceptance of what IS in the workroom is not easy, but you are on the right track. Loved the peek into your room. Looks nice to me.
