Welcome to my blog

I hope you enjoy reading my posts, and please leave me a comment. I always enjoy reading them, and will try to visit you in return.

For security reasons for me and for you, I would appreciate it if you would leave your name on your comments.

You are welcome to copy any of my designs, as long as you do not take credit for them yourself. I am very happy for you to sell them. If I have used anyone else's design, I always try to give credit where it is due. If I have missed anything, please let me know and I will put things right.

This is intended to be mainly about my crafting stories, as a personal record of what I do. However, I interpret crafting quite widely, not just paper crafting but other things too. I have a butterfly mind and like to change from one thing to another depending on what I feel like on a given day - knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, cards, baking and several others, including my favourite right now, parchment, both traditional skills and Groovi, very relaxing and calming to do.

I have decided to put some structure into my blog so that each day will have something of a theme.
Monday- for Mindfulness; Tuesday - Tidy Up Day; Wednesday - What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday; Thursday - Technique and Tips; Friday - Finish Off Day; Saturday - Start Something New; Sunday - Anything Goes
These themes are not hard and fast and will be changed if I feel the need.

WOYWW - 188

It really can't be Wednesday again ...... can it?  This year is promising to gallop even faster than last year, and I have still not completed anything in the crafting line.  The only thing I have done is to make the masks for a new set of stamps, which you can see attached to the remains of the post it note in the box.  Today will be the first real card making session .... I think and hope.

Mind you, I think a good tidy up is in order yet again as you can see from the general mess on show.  My room has descended into a dumping ground again.  We needed some more copy paper for the printers so where has the large box been dumped?  You've got it - my room because it is paper and I use paper in crafting.

I am not showing you any more this week, I am too ashamed of how messy the whole room is.  In the meantime, why don't you slip over to see our wonderful Wednesday hostess, Julia and join up with all the other international jet set there.  See you all soon.  xx

Don't fall off your chair in shock Maggie but I'm here ... WOYWW'ing for the first time in far too long but having totally forgotten what to do. IF IF IF you get chance could you check that I've done it properly please and that my efforts actually take you to Julia's ... I do get awfully confused about how to do stuff. Oh and can you confirm if that word verification thingy is off for me ... I can't figure out how to tell!
Can't wait to see what you do with your new stamps! D x

The only reason for a tidy is to have enough space to craft, at the end of which it will be messy again! It all goes full circle and is great fun in the process. Thanks for sharing. Caro #46

I know just what you mean! I don't know how but everything just seems to end up my craft room - I'm sure somebody comes along at night and moves things in there! I'm gradually getting to see my floor and I found my desk yesterday! Chris 87

Hope you get some crafting time to yourself soon - and stop people from dumping stuff in your space too!

I'm curious - do you make a set of masks for every set of stamps you get? Straight away? And keep them with them? Or am I going too far now?!

Happy WOYWW!

Hi Maggie, it's not Wednesday, it's Friday - I am late again! The state of your desk isn't so bad - we've seen much worse elsewhere. Such a good idea and so organised to prepare all the masks beforehand - I usually end up scrabbling for a post-it pad at the last minute. I love your snowy cottages scene - the shading on the path is really excellent and the post box is perfect - a gold one would not have been the same :) Thanks for sharing - I so enjoyed both your posts. That sounds remarkably like what happens in my craft room, only it includes things like post (the filing cabinet is in my room) and, when DH decides to have a tidying frenzy, anything basically that isn't his! :/

Thanks for your comment on my blog. As to the two screens... well, because I can! but mostly because my DH is an IT bod and he has two screens and he offered to upgrade my monitors and asked if I wanted two as well so I said, "Um, ok!" :)

It's handy in that you can e.g. have the internet open on one screen and MS Word or e.g. digi-scrapping software on the other. :)

Haha, your room is "too messy"...well, you are in very good company with this crowd, I assure you! :) Thanks for stopping by my space already and leaving a nice comment. I can't blame you for changing a pantry to a loo if you only had the one upstairs! I would hate to have to tromp up a set of stairs every time I had to wee! lol Well, that's a fab mess you've got yourself and I hope you've gotten some crafting in by now, since I'm running so terribly late at my return visits this time. :) Deeyll #142

Maggie, I am not sure about you, but it is somehow comforting to me to know that there are others out there that thrive on a bit of workdesk chaos...lol. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and checking out my first WOYWW! Looking forward to visiting for the next one.

Looking on your desk I have just realized why I save the sorbet container the other day so soon as I get home I am bringing it to the scrap room and I know its going to solve some kind of storage issue I have.#108
